Hi, I’m April Jolly. We started our franchise in  1995 and I joined in 2001. I do feel like Dream   Vacations is a big family. We have a very  tight-knit community from the home office.

We are very, very close with our franchise class  and we’ve also had very strong partnerships with   suppliers that have given us opportunities to  do things like be ambassadors for their brand.   Owning a Dream Vacation franchise has really allowed my mother-in-law and I to have the

best of both worlds, professionally and personally. When her father was sick, she could move him in with her and take care of  him for 6 years, but still run a thriving business. And our three daughters grew up right  there in the office with us. My best advice to someone considering a Dream Vacations  franchise is it is the hardest job you will ever love.

You will never stop learning. There is always new things to do, new things to learn, new products, changes and  it is the most fulfilling job you’ll do. I think one of the things I would really strongly  recommend is that you be true to who you are and be real and authentic with your clients. Probably one of my favorite things about being  a Franchise Owner is the connections that we  have made over the years with clients.

We’ve helped people plan engagements and weddings and celebrate job promotions and we’ve celebrated all the highs and all the lows and we’ve been passed on to children and grandchildren and  we get to share in those little family moments when they plan their vacation. And we know them so we know exactly what to do to make  the ordinary vacation extraordinary.
