For the second year in a row, we partnered with the New York State Troopers Marine Corps Association (NYSTMCA) to give the gift of a dream vacation to a deserving military veteran. This year, former Marine James Taylor of Bronx, N.Y., received a 7-night Carnival Cruise and an additional check for $500 from the NYSTMCA. His mother will be joining him on this much-deserved vacation.
When asked about his thoughts on winning, he said, “This vacation is a blessing for me and my family. We have all been working full-time jobs and attending college courses full time for the last two years. It is truly heart-warming to find an organization that has veterans in mind and recognizes our service. While I am sure that there are others more deserving of such a gift, I will make it my personal mission to continuing my service and advocacy of the veteran community in the hope of one day being able to pay such a gift forward. Taylor served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2008 to 2012 and his commitment, dedication to excellence and consummate professionalism epitomize the values of the Marine Corps.
