How did you transition from your prior occupation to starting a travel business…and what did that transition look like? As I continue the transition, operating two business is challenging but I complete the operations of one business before starting on the other. Staying in touch with clients is most important.
Did any of your previous skills carry over? The most important thing carried over from my other business is customer service and attention to detail.
What do you like best about owning a Dream Vacations travel agency franchise? I love helping people plan their vacation then when they return home seeing and hearing about their travels.
Advice for somebody purchasing a franchise: Be patient. It takes a good two to three years to see your marketing efforts pay off.
What is the best part about the support you get from Dream Vacations: I love attending Regional Trainings and National Conference.
What do you wish you knew before you started? I wish I knew how much fun it would be so I would have done it sooner. I work harder than I’ve ever worked before, but it doesn’t feel like work.
What’s Your Dream Vacation: I would love to travel to Belgium and see where my great-grandparents once worked and lived.
