CruiseOne Celebrates Agent Accomplishments at 2013 National Conference Onboard Norwegian Breakaway

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (October 1, 2013) – With spirits running high, the second day of the CruiseOne National Conference continued onboard Norwegian Breakaway with presentations from cruise line executives, the CruiseOne corporate headquarters executive team and an exciting awards presentation.

Janet Wygert, managing director of strategic partnership at Carnival Cruise Lines kicked off the second day’s general session and was followed by a business update from the CruiseOne executive team. Highlights of the presentations included the sharing of agents’ programs in the areas of email, social media and event marketing, as well as discussions on key technological improvements such as the new mobile websites, a revamped transactional email program and more. There was also discussion about how CruiseOne success directly stems from the agents’ passion for travel and supporting the company’s mission of “Delivering a Remarkable Experience” to customers during all stages of their vacation.

Following the CruiseOne executive presentations, representatives from various cruise lines presented on what’s new with their brands. These included a joint Royal Caribbean® and Celebrity Cruises presentation by Vicki Freed, senior vice president of trade support and service from Royal Caribbean, and Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president of sales from Celebrity; Ken Muskat, senior vice president of sales and marketing for MSC Cruises; and District Sales Manager Lily Mendoza presented on Disney® Cruise Line.

The morning session ended with a celebration of agents’ accomplishments throughout the year with a multimedia awards presentation. More than 105 agents were recognized for their achievements in sales, marketing, public relations, social media, IT and more. An impressive 16 agents were inducted into the 2013 Circle of Excellence for achieving more than $1 million in sales.

“All of our agents deserve a pat on the back for all they have accomplished this year,” said Dwain Wall, senior vice president and general manager of CruiseOne. “We had a banner year due to their all-around efforts, perseverance and passion for the industry. We are lucky and thrilled to have more than 1,300 dedicated vacation specialists on our team.”

The annual CruiseOne National Conference focuses on the personal and professional development of agents using interactive workshops, dynamic speakers, teambuilding exercises and strategic business conversations with key executives from World Travel Holdings, cruise lines and land vendors. This year’s theme – Collaboration, Passion and Innovation – reflects the company’s goals for 2013 and beyond.
